Introducing
Working My Way Back To You
For Riders and their Horses who want to be happy and relaxed together when they ride, to be able to manage their emotions when they need to and to learn a spiritual way of riding that will be a source of comfort/safety and connection for them both.
Working My Way Back To You is about reducing separation between you and your horse.
It's about reducing what keeps you separate from yourself, that doesn't let you freely connect with your horse.
It's also paradoxically about letting go of what binds you together negatively!
It's about you both becoming more relaxed and connected together, where you are both a source of safety and companionship for each other.
It's also about learning to awaken your internal energy and ride connected to the energies of Heaven and Earth that will be a source of safety and connection for you both.
These are grounding and uplifting at the same time.
The more you ride and connect like this, the more free and relaxed and happy and connected you will both become. Your horse will be less anxious and you will be too.
Riding for both of you will be something to look forward to.
A little bit about me...
My name is Jenny Pim, I'm the Founder and Creator of Equestrian Tai Chi. I'm a Certified Tai Chi Instructor registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and a Certified Riding Coach registered with Horse Sport Ireland.
My passion is to bring what I learn from Tai Chi and Taoist Arts to help riders to develop and enhance their relationships with their horses, whether it be riding or in their ordinary day to day connections with them!
I developed this program for horses and riders together, so they can connect more deeply, as horses are so sensitive to energy, especially our energy!
Have you ever wondered why you can't feel your energy or Chi?
I used to wonder about this all the time and I eventually learned the reason why.
It's not because we're insensitive or unaware!
We all come with an energy system, humans, horses, birds, insects, plants, trees, even The Earth itself, but we humans do not come with the automatic ability to access it. This is the reason we can't feel our energy or Chi, otherwise we'd all be going around able to feel it!
It's a known thing in Taoism that humans do not come with the automatic ability to access their energy, which is why they spent thousands of years developing ways for them to do this!
In contrast, horses appear to be more energetically aware and sensitive than we are, they seem to have more spontaneous access to their energy system than we do.
I noticed straight away that horses were more affected by Equestrian Tai Chi practice than humans, and I was always questioning this.
Then each time I would reach a new stage in developing my energy practicing Equestrian Tai Chi and riding, I realised that my pony was already there, he could immediately notice this new communication between us.
This led me to the conclusion that though we come with similar energy systems, us and our horses, while we humans have to work to develop our energy (as is known in Taoism), it would appear that our horses don't.
In effect we are unequal to our horse but it is possible to redress this balance by learning to develop our energy
'Working My Way Back To You' is a Program where you'll learn different, but inter-related practices to work with your energy that will also affect your horse's energy.
Here is what you'll learn as you progress through the Program
You'll learn Equestrian Tai Chi:-
You'll learn the Equestrian Tai Chi Form or sequence of movements.
Equestrian Tai Chi is a relaxing and stress relieving practice, that benefits both you and your horse. It opens and develops the energetic pathways in your body, so that your energy can travel through them.
It helps you to bond and connect with your horse and enjoy time together.
The Equestrian Tai Chi movements stretch and relax your muscles and calm your nervous system. One of the main ways that Chi interfaces with the physical body is through our nerves. It also runs through the fluids in our body, promoting smooth and even blood flow.
You'll learn Taoist Breathing for Riding:-
The purpose of Taoist Breathing for Riding is to help open and develop your energy channels.
You'll also learn a way of breathing that is suitable for Taoist Meditation and letting go of blocked energy.
Taoist Breathing gives you the ability to focus your mind inside your body, and to consciously calm the places you need to with your energy and your breath.
This practice is calming and relaxing for your horse as well as you.
Our connection to The Earth is also considered to be very important in Taoism, it is also very important for our horse.
You'll learn the Taoist Way of Letting go of Blocked Energy
You'll learn the Taoist method that will help you to find and let go of blocked energy in your body that is keeping you stuck in patterns that aren't serving you, so that you can become the partner that you want to be for your horse.
Our horses can sense when our energy is blocked and when it flows freely, so you'll also be helping your horse when your energy becomes more vibrant and clear.
You'll find it much easier to focus on your riding when your mind is clear and free from the negative thoughts and emotions that may in part be caused by the blocked energy in your body.
Much as we might long to have balanced emotions riding, if we have energy patterns locked into our system that are contrary to this, it becomes very difficult. The Taoist Way of letting go of blocked energy will help you to find and let go of these, so you can be free to choose to successfully manage your fear with the Taoist Breathing for Riding and Equestrian Tai Chi Exercises.
You'll also learn how to let go of energy that is keeping you and your horse connected negatively.
You'll learn the alignments and positioning to promote the smooth flow of Chi through your body when you're in the saddle.
Learning these alignments will help you and allow you to feel and allow you to feel Chi flow in your spine and in your body riding. They'll also help you to feel Heaven and Earth Energy Riding.
You'll learn to free your energy in places where it has become blocked, so it flows more smoothly through your channels.
You'll learn to find and free your energy where it has become blocked riding.
When our energy is blocked in our body riding, it inhibits Chi flow and stops our Chi flowing in synchronicity with our horses. This will also affect our horse's energy and the way it flows.
Horse's show signs of relaxation when we do this.
You'll learn to Awaken your Internal Energy and Feel Your Chi Flow Riding.
In the program, as your energy begins to open and develop with the practice of the Chi exercises, you'll learn to awaken your internal energy and feel it flow inside you, and feel it flow in your body when you ride.
You'll come to feel it moving in your spine as well as your energy channels.
You'll learn Heaven and Earth Energy Riding.
Heaven and Earth Energy Riding is a way of riding where we're connected to the energies of Heaven and Earth.
This way of riding gives us a higher connection that we can both tune into through our shared awareness of energy.
It may take you time to learn this, you may not begin to feel it for a while and people progress at different paces.
It's not a given that you will automatically feel it once you learn the exercises, you will need to practice them and allow yourself time for your energy to develop.
I will do my very best to help you, but it is important to understand that these things take time to develop and learn, otherwise everybody would feeling them!
So you will need to work at this consistently, but without strain and allow yourself the time you need to!

Learn to Relax
When Sidney and I found each other, he had obviously been handled very roughly and had lots of issues and dramas going on.
I have been practicing the Tai Chi exercises and found that Sidney responds beautifully to the energy, he shows the classic signs of lowering his head and lots of chewing and sometimes yawning.
It has also relaxed me and helped me to increase my focus and awareness in a positive way.
I have been doing this next to him, before working him in hand, and also on his back before a ridden session, and am so pleased to see that he is noticeably more relaxed and displaying less fear and anxiety.
Thank you Jenny for opening this new pathway for us.”

Overcome lack of confidence
I am a rider overcoming lack of confidence issues. My mare Bailey had tendon problems and was off work for eight months or so. Well the idea of riding her for the very first time frightened me. But ‘everything for a reason’ I like to believe.
The forced time off her, allowed me to complete the four modules of this course. I had got into the habit of doing Equestrian Tai Chi practice in the field and in the stable. I also had got into the habit of doing the breathing exercises. I got a lot of practice in before I really needed it. The Equestrian Tai Chi Form is flowing now and not clunky as at first. It’s not like Jenny’s yet, but I’ll keep trying. I know The Form now without the videos, but it’s also good for me to re-watch the videos and find ways to refine the movements.
The very first ride on Bailey was the test for me. I worked her on the ground. I tacked her up. I mounted and I did the full Equestrian Tai Chi Form on her back for the first time! I finished and I asked her to walk on. We did a little walk and a trot and I was thrilled.
How I believe it works for me is:
It gives my mind something else to do, than worry about the ‘what if’s’. I realised that while doing the ‘something else to do’, that I didn’t die.
The reason being that the ‘something else’ was deliberately drawing breath into my body, relaxing my muscles and reducing my heart rate, and thereby calming my emotions and interrupting the fear story that gets rerun in my head.
The energy field that me and my horse share has been calmed. There is no need for Bailey to be worried or anxious, her herd members are calm, so she is. This leaves us both free to deal with the real issues, that can, and do arise, without wasting our energy on imagined ones.
Equestrian Tai Chi is not a quick fix, it is a health enhancing habit, that every horse rider needs to practice, especially important to anyone who suffers from anxiety. Thanks so much Jenny Pim.

We recently bought a high maintenance horse ...
I’ve had a nasty fall off my horse during a show and since then I feel like I’ve been walking on eggshells around him. But I followed your breathing exercises to calm myself down and I really feel like I’ve been able to focus on improving my riding when my mind is clear and free of any negative thoughts.
Thank you very much, your emails and Chi program are very helpful and beneficial.

Hughy is not nearly as spooky in the arena any more....
Hughy is not nearly as spooky in the arena any more. He will look with ears perked but he is not afraid to go anywhere in there. We did some more riding and then we practiced the Equestrian tai chi form again. He couldn’t wait to stop for the practice. I felt peaceful and also like my form is getting smoother.

Dear Jenny,
3 friends & I took our horses to Allegany State Park for a weekend camping trip. I was deathly afraid of how my boy would be considering the fact that taking him trail riding has always not been fun cause he would do everything possible to be the bad boy, therefore I was afraid!
I got on the saddle (while friend held him), did a couple of your breathing techniques & calmed myself down. And it worked!
We went on a 3 HR ride that was so much fun. He was so calm & very well behaved that he blew me & my friends out of the water! We ran up the hills, drank from the creek, meet people in cars driving by, he let kids rub his nose, walked past a barking puppy that was going nuts and so on! I have had my boy for 5 yrs now.
I've gone through 6 trainers in the past to help me to understand on what to do but nothing helped, until a friend sent you to me. I can honestly say you have helped me and I thank you so much. No more fear for me!
THANK YOU.

I treated myself to Jenny's course as I had become a very nervous rider since having my daughter in 2011.
My horse Baylee an Irish cob mare is mostly quiet and well behaved, but she is strong and gets a bit fresh and jumpy when I hack out on her. I used to feel myself tensing up and was always expecting the worst, which made Baylee even more jumpy as I was transferring my nervousness to her. In the end riding my horse became something I ended up trying to avoid.
Since following Jenny's programme, I have found so much benefit, as I am once again enjoying riding my horse! I am now much calmer and feel more relaxed and in control when I am riding. Baylee is also benefitting and has become a lot steadier and much less jumpy when we hack out. She enjoys me practicing the Tai Chi exercises on her and it has definitely strengthened out bond.
I highly recommend Jenny's Course to anyone who gets nervous or tense when riding, or even if you would just like to feel more connected with your horse.
Thank you Jenny for putting so much time and effort into making this excellent course.

About the delivery of the program
Working My Way Back To You…
The program is fully available online. Once you join, you get access to the material for the first Week's practice.
The Equestrian Tai Chi part of the program is in one course, while all the other subjects are together in another course.
Each week for thirty week's you'll get new lessons from some or all of the main subjects we'll be learning in the program;- Equestrian Tai Chi, Taoist Breathing for Riding, The Taoist Way of Letting Go of Blocked Energy, Awakening Internal Energy, Feeling Chi Flow Riding and Heaven and Earth Energy Riding.
Each Week you'll be invited to take part in a challenge where you learn the material for that week and come and write about your practice in the forum. I'll see what you write and it will help me to know how you're getting on and I'll be able to offer feedback and suggestions for you.
Writing in the Forum is an important part of the course, because people have different abilities in feeling energy, some people can feel it quicker than others, some might progress more slowly, but then they'll suddenly become able to and will become aware of a lot of things at once. When you write about how you feel, I will be more able to help you.
You will have two full year's support and access to the course.
As well, on the third Wednesday of every month if you want to chat with me, I will be available on a Zoom call. This will be at 9am-9.30 Pacific, 12 Noon-12.30pm Eastern, 5pm-5.30pm Ireland, UK. You can also send me in a video of your Form practice and I'll offer feedback and suggestions to help you.
This will be personal to the people on the call and there won't be a recording.
I offer a Conditional 30 Day Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee
If you decide 'Working My Way Back To You' is not for you, that is no problem at all, just send me a video of yourself practicing a few of the exercises, within the 30 Day Period, and I will refund your purchase.

Imagine how it would be to ride your horse and feel energy flow through you, to be able to tune into different energy flows as you saw fit and to be able to bring higher energies into you when you’re riding, to balance and connect you and your horse together.
Imagine too having an energetic practice that your horse likes so much, he'll go and park himself in his favourite spot and wait for you to start practicing on him!
This way of riding is a way that horses love, they are seen for the wonderful energetic spiritual beings they truly are, and they can share this aspect of themselves with you. It lifts their whole lives, not just the riding time they spend with you, they’re happier and more content in their field and stable as well.
It lifts our riding experience beyond the ordinary, to a deeper dimension inside ourselves that our horses can tune into and together we can connect.
