Introducing
The Equestrian Tai Chi Form Course
For riders who'd like to deepen and develop their partnership with their horse through the energetic practice of Equestrian Tai Chi.
How would it feel to have your horse wanting to connect with you, to want to be near you, to be as close as he could be to you?
How would it feel when you're riding, to know that your horse feels relaxed and safe with you.
How would it feel when you go out to see your horse, to know he's been waiting for you, looking forward for you to come, not just for food, but for your company.
It is possible to have a relationship with your horse like this, through learning the shared practice of Equestrian Tai Chi!
I've had this and many of my students and instructors have too and their students have this experience as well.
It will make a big difference to your life and could possibly change your horse's life forever.
The Equestrian Tai Chi Form is built on an energetic framework that will begin to open and develop your energy system.
It is a practice specifically designed for you and your horse to deepen your energetic partnership by allowing you to connect through the different layers of your energy.
It will enhance your riding experience and increase the interconnected dynamic flow of energy between you as you ride.
It has many benefits that work on different energy levels, both for you and your horse and your partnership together.
A little bit about me …
Hi, I'm Jenny Pim!
I'm a Certified Tai Chi Instructor registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and a Certified Riding Coach registered with Horse Sport Ireland. I'm the founder and creator of Equestrian Tai Chi®.
My passion is to bring what I learn from Tai Chi and Taoist Arts to help people to develop and enhance their relationships with their horses, whether it be riding or in their ordinary day to day connections with them.
All of this began by chance, many years ago.
I had a busy life, bringing up my family, breeding ponies and teaching Tai Chi, so to save time, I’d often prepare for my evening Tai Chi classes when I was riding.
I began to notice that the ponies I practiced on were enjoying our practice, they would lick and chew and drop their heads and relax. I noticed the ponies became calmer and less spooky.
I looked forward to my riding more. I didn’t just go out riding at the last minute any more ( just to be able to say that I’d ridden). I began to guard it as a time to spend with the ponies, and I would be annoyed if I didn’t manage to ride on a particular day. I practiced Tai Chi on horseback every day I rode.
The ponies loved our Tai Chi practice and they would stop and “ask” to do it in places we had previously practiced, it calmed them and relaxed them. It gave me a great feeling of us being connected, and going on adventures together.
I wanted to find a way to help horses and riders to have an amazing partnership together like I had with my ponies, to feel safe and happy together, to look forward to riding and sharing time together, so that is why I created The Equestrian Tai Chi Form Course, so other riders and their horses could experience the freedom and connection that I and my ponies experienced.
Some people are goal orientated with their horses...
They only want to learn something if it will benefit their favourite discipline.
Yet horses have no goals...
Horses care about how they feel and how the horses and people near them feel.
They're very attracted to energy. To how it makes them feel.
They're affected by it positively and negatively.
We can affect them by how we feel.
How we actually feel while we're doing anything totally affects how we do it!
If we can do things in a relaxed way, with no fear, no tension, we will automatically have a better outcome.
The Equestrian Tai Chi Form Course is one of the courses I've developed for riders.
Here’s what you'll learn –
Equestrian Tai Chi
Equestrian Tai Chi balances your energy. It improves your flexibility and feel, and improves your posture and balance. Equestrian Tai Chi develops awareness of balance and posture. It helps riders to be in the correct balanced and straight alignment of their bodies. If riders are aware of when they are straight and balanced themselves, it makes it easier for them to tell if your horse is straight.
Practicing Equestrian Tai Chi helps people to recognise and to correct one sidedness. Because Equestrian Tai Chi is practiced on both the right and the left sides equally, people quickly notice, if one side is easier to practice on than another. Regular practice of Equestrian Tai Chi helps to make both sides equally balanced, supple and coordinated.
Equestrian Tai Chi improves suppleness and removes stiffness in the rider’s body. Its movements reduce stiffness in the joints, allowing the rider to absorb the horse’s movement.
Equestrian Tai Chi relaxes and promotes the smooth flow of energy through the hips and the pelvic area. When the hips are relaxed it makes it easier for the rider to be carried by the movement of the horse.
Equestrian Tai Chi helps to ease pain, and to remove energy blockages from old injuries a rider may have. It guides the energy gently though these areas, bringing energy and healing. If one part of the body doesn’t move because of stiffness, then another area automatically has to compensate, this upsets the natural harmony of the body. Equestrian Tai Chi promotes the even flow of energy throughout the body.
Equestrian Tai Chi improves coordination and helps give riders the ability to separate different muscle groups from each other, so they can perform aids precisely, without involving unnecessary movement in other body parts.
Equestrian Tai Chi opens and develops the energy pathways in your body. The movements of the sequence of The Equestrian Tai Chi Form are learned step by step, as you move through each week learning a new movement. The whole sequence takes just under three minutes to perform on each side. This means, that it takes 3 minutes to practice the sequence of The Form the right, and it takes another 3 minutes to practice the sequence of The Form on the left.
The Form has 21 movements and 3 videos are used to teach each movement:-
- A quick view video.
- A video in slow motion with audio instruction.
- A video showing the place of the movement with the previous movement in the Equestrian Tai Chi sequence.
This may sound like a lot, but it’s not really, because some of the videos are very short, some are even just a few seconds long.
As you develop your Equestrian Tai Chi practice, day by day, you will find that your energy will become more balanced, and that your horse will start to benefit from your practice as well. Your horse will be able to feel the beautiful flow of energy, that the movements create in you, as you perform them. Your connection will deepen further with your horse, as your practice allows you to meet each other at an energetic level.
Here is what you will learn as you progress through the Course –
Each week you'll get a new movement to learn:-
- The Form is practiced on the left and the right side, so each week you'll learn a new movement, sometimes both on the left and right and sometimes just on one side depending on the complexity of the movement.
As you learn the Movements of the Form, you'll learn:-
- Guidelines for practicing safely and effectively.
As you learn the Movements of the Form....
- Your partnership with your horse will become deeper and more connected. As your energy gets smoother your horse may even begin to 'ask' for practice! The first time this happened me, I didn't realise what was happening, why was my horse stopping, it soon became obvious he was stopping in a place we'd practiced in previously!
Begin connecting and balancing yours and your horse's energies through Equestrian Tai Chi
This is what people are saying ...
Equestrian Tai Chi calms me grounds me
“Equestrian Tai Chi strikes a chord with me. It calms and grounds me. I love it.
I found the online delivery really suits me. I have 3 kids who keep me on the go, so finding time to get a class is nearly impossible.
I use any waiting around time to practice any new moves. I watch the videos, sometimes several times to get it right. I love the step-by-step building up of knowledge and skills. It provides a good solid foundation, with explanations of principles and posture.
It builds gradually so that it always feels worthwhile and never daunting. Fitting it into my life is easy.”

Learn to Relax
When Sidney and I found each other, he had obviously been handled very roughly and had lots of issues and dramas going on.
I have been practicing the Tai Chi exercises and found that Sidney responds beautifully to the energy, he shows the classic signs of lowering his head and lots of chewing and sometimes yawning.
It has also relaxed me and helped me to increase my focus and awareness in a positive way.
I have been doing this next to him, before working him in hand, and also on his back before a ridden session, and am so pleased to see that he is noticeably more relaxed and displaying less fear and anxiety.
Thank you Jenny for opening this new pathway for us.”

My horses seem to really hook into the peacefulness of the energy it generates...
I love the feeling Equestrian Tai Chi gives me. My horses seem to really hook into the peacefulness of the energy it generates, and it brings me into a calm, present state. I am on my second course of Equestrian Tai Chi and I am so impressed with the clarity of Jenny's lessons and the way they are presented. I can do 5 minutes a day, or a much longer session as I choose. I really value the personalised attention from Jenny when I submit a video of myself trying out the techniques, or have a question. I would highly recommend this course to anybody interested in learning this lovely, flowing modality

Clear, concise and complete...
I’ve been working with energy for close to 9 years now – equine Bodywork/massage, acupressure, myofascial release, reiki and animal communication. I’ve taken a lot of instruction from a lot of people in a lot of different formats but I must say, your videos and soundcloud recordings are the best I’ve seen/ heard. Clear, concise and complete. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

It will help your horse to safer and more confident in his own skin, in his own energy, as he becomes more able to connect and return to the energy of his true self, through the Equestrian Tai Chi practice that you will share together.
He will also feel safer with you because he's able to trust you more, through knowing more of you, by knowing your energy too and the beautiful qualities of it as you practice.
