An Online Workshop for You & Your Horse
For riders who want an energetic practice to share with their horse and to ride from and connect with their horse in a deeper dimension inside themselves that their horse can tune into and understand.
Hi, I'm Jenny...
I'm a Certified Tai Chi Instructor registered with the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain and a Certified Riding Coach registered with Horse Sport Ireland and I'm the founder and creator of Equestrian Tai Chi®
I developed this Workshop for riders who are interested in learning Equestrian Tai Chi & Developing a Chi Connection with their Horse Riding, but who'd rather take a short course or workshop first, to see if they liked it, before committing themselves to the longer training.
It's important to understand that it takes time to open and develop your energy, longer than in this short Workshop. It's not an intellectual process that you just know something and that's it! Your energy needs time to develop in the same way a plant needs time to grow.
The exercises and alignments you will learn in this Workshop will set the stage for your energy to open and develop in a safe way.
They will benefit you and your horse and your partnership together for the rest of your time together, every time you practice, whether you continue on with the longer training after this Introduction Workshop or not. You will always have them.
What are the Benefits of 'Equestrian Tai Chi & Developing a Chi Connection With Your Horse?
Equestrian Tai Chi is Tai Chi I developed for performance on horseback, it is built on the energetic framework that I use to teach riders how to Develop a Chi Connection with their horse when they're riding.
Benefits of Equestrian Tai Chi
Equestrian Tai Chi brings balance to our energy through its layers and it also integrates them and brings them together so we feel more stable and secure and coherent inside, an ideal companion for a horse.
Our practice directly affects our horse and helps our horse to be calmer and more relaxed and less reactive.
Our practice deepens our partnership together as our energies move into harmony and we connect on a deeper level with our practice.
Benefits of Developing a Chi Connection with our Horse when we're Riding.
When we learn to ride our horse while we are Connected through our Chi, we're connecting with him/her in a different energy vibration or level.
When you ride and connect with a horse like this, you can directly communicate with your horse at a deeper energetic level inside yourself, and ride and connect with your horse in a way that the horse can understand.
We're riding together and connected in the physical world though our bodies and surroundings, but we're also connected together at a deeper or higher level inside us that naturally engages our Heart Mind. This makes our horses feel safe and connected to us. They can draw on us for security and are comforted by our energy.
It also brings a quality of equality to the horse and rider partnership, where horses are seen for the wonderful energetic beings they truly are.
When we learn to develop our energy, we can meet our horses at the level that they deserve to met at and where they deserve to be recognised for their special talent and ability in connecting with us.
It is really us who needs to develop ourselves to be able to form a more subtle connection with them
Who is this Workshop for?
This workshop is for riders who are excited about learning something like this!
This is a learning experience that will begin to change and develop your energy, so you can connect more with your horse riding and it will also begin to awaken your own internal energy.
It's riders who may feel there's more to their partnership that they're not getting, there is a deeper way they could be connecting with their horse!
It's for riders who want to enhance their riding experience for themselves and for their horse by having a more subtle energetic way of communicating with their horse.
No previous training in Tai Chi or other energy modalities is needed, though if you have you are very welcome to join.
Who can I expect to learn in the Workshop ?
This training material in the workshop comes from the First Module of our main training for riders Equestrian Tai Chi & Developing a Chi Connection with your horse Riding.
You will learn about your alignments, breathing and posture, you'll learn Equestrian Tai Chi exercises and how to connect with your energy.
This is the same training that all of the people below have gone through, this Introduction Course is the first part of it.
This is what people are saying ...
It’s really amazing to begin to realise how many ways energy is moving within our body and to begin to get a sense of how the horses movements link our energies together. It’s a lovely calming experience.
Still lots more to learn, which I’m looking forward to!

I remember thinking that only mystics and sages would be able to feel the energy moving through their bones, but you really can feel the difference between the channels! I find it remarkable that we “regular folk” can feel that! So cool!

Funny I always thought it was due to the weight change that guides the horse round – but this has again given me a new insight!!
Today I had a brilliant session on Bronte, using everything that we have been doing. I started with some reins moving round the arena in all directions & practising slowing down too. By the end I had a go with no reins & no leg aids as such – totally in control & what I found really amazing was Bronte came in on a smaller circle(with her head bent to the inside) – it really felt so connected even without reins.
I have always done this exercise but the horse would have the head often pointing out so really fantastic that this can make such a difference!!

Giving directional aids this way syncs with the horse so beautifully and allows us to focus without effort giving very small subtle aids just by being aware, it has helped enormously with symmetry issues for both horse and rider. The connection you feel with your horse when you practice is amazing, I look forward every Week to my practice to further improve my riding and deepen the connection with the horses I ride and care for.
