Interactive Equine Tai Chi for Instructors and Therapists
An Online Program forĀ Instructors and Therapists to Learn Interactive Tai Chi and how to teach it to their clients.
Interactive Equine Tai Chi is Tai Chi that is designed for people to practice together near a horse. Or one person can practice near a horse.
It can benefit many people.
I developed this form of Tai Chi during a weekly class with one of my students, Zion, who has Autism. Like many people with Autism, Zion is affectionate and caring and he loves animals and they have a natural affinity with him.
Interactive Equine Tai Chi has many elements which contribute to its benefits.
It combines the positive effects of the therapeutic energy and presence of the horse with the benefits of Tai Chi.
More than this, the practice has a calming effect on the child and on the pony and allows their energies to mingle and merge. It is a mutual practice. The child's practice benefits the pony, and in turn the child receives the magnified effects of the calm energy of the horse.
As well as this, as the horse responds and visibly relaxes to the practice, the child can see the results of his/her actions. This may lead to a realization of how we all affect each other and how powerful we all are.
